To all the Gout sufferers.....

The medications are not healing you they are only masking your symptoms, you wonder why it comes back when you think the pain is gone.

Let's get to the grass root..

Gout is an an inflammatory condition of a particular joint in the body. The foot is not the only part of the body that can be affected. It is called Podagra when the base of the big toe is affected, which is the case half of the time.

The underlying cause of gout is the crystallization of uric acid (monosodium urate) forming deposits, the joints, tendons, and tissues, and in the blood usually at high levels. Hyperuricemia is caused by the underexcretion of uric acid by the kidneys in most cases, and overproduction of uric acid in some cases.

The most important thing that is not being addressed in this equation is the KIDNEYS. They filter the blood, regulate hormones, balance body fluids, produce urine, and regulate other bodily functions. If the kidneys are not functioning properly especially in this case you can not heal. These drugs that people take hinder the kidneys ability to filter and eliminate the uric acid content. The prescitption medication only ease the pain associated with gout because most of them are just anti-inflammatory drugs. So your kidneys have to try to fitler all of that uric acid AND the toxic drugs that eventually build up overtime because they are not 100% digestible by the body. That is why it says on the label of most medications 'may cause liver damage'.

Diet:

Diet/Lifestyle is extremely key in healing from gout...

If this is not addressed you will continue to suffer.

Acidic foods and beverages like dairy, alcohol, meat (red meat in particular), is counterproductive. Consuming foods that help alkalize the body and ease inflammation like leafy greens and root vegetables and sprouts which help clean the blood. Also water rich fruits like watermelon, pineapple (anti-inflammatory), mango, etc. Try adding some of the common household spices like cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper, cumin, cloves, etc. All of these spices posses potent anti-inflammatory properties.

Herbal Remedies:
